En este último número de 2012, la revista Ceramic Review, publicada por el Craft Potters Association trae como temas principales el paisaje en la cerámica, con diferentes artículos, como el de Moira Vincentelli, dedicado a la relación del paisaje de Gales con su cerámica; el dedicado a la obra de Tjerk van der Veen; los “viajes personales de Kristin McKirdy; Sara Moorhouse propone que los ceramistas utilizan un visión abstracta del paisaje; a continuación, Kathleen Standen explica en primera persona la importancia del paisaje irlandés en su trabajo. Para terminar el viaje por los paisajes en la cerámica, Mandy Haggits nos lleva hasta Escocia.
Aunque en Reino Unido también están pasando por momentos difíciles en cuanto a la enseñanza de la cerámica, con el cierre de departamentos universitarios, la privatización, la subida de las tasas y la conversión en lo que denominan “3D Design” (diseño en tres dimensiones), todavía quedan decenas de universidades en las que estudiar cerámica.
